A few weeks ago we asked you to send in questions to our Instagram page (@over.l00ked) for October's upcoming artist of the month, Hollie Davis. Here are the answers to those questions.
What's your favourite song on the EP and why?

"Probably She, it was one of the first songs I properly ever wrote. I wrote it when I was 16, about this girl that I really liked, and I wasn't very good at writing lyrics then, so when I'm at the part in which I'm describing how much I like her, I'm talking about all of my favourite things, like birthday cake and sleep. It's a bit cringe but it's definitely my favourite."

Who are some of your inspirations?
"Definitely Dodie, because she's just so authentic in everything that she does, she's not afraid to show who she really is, all her flaws and all of her bad sides, and that's something I've always really looked up to. Also definitely Cavetown, just because he writes and produces all of is own music and that's something I've always really looked up to."

What was it like working with Tom Walker?
"I worked with Tom Walker on Not What You Meant and he's a really lovely guy and has this sort of rough voice that I think sounded really nice next to mine and worked really well in the song. It was definitely what I was looking for and it worked well."
What is the first song on the EP?
"That's Arms Unfolding, which is the only track on the album that I completely produced myself. It's about my two friends who are learning to love each other again after falling out of love and I used them as my inspiration and I like how it how out."

What got you into music?
"I've always been really passionate about music. I started playing ukulele when I was 12, my first ukulele was a bright pink one which I got from a charity shop and I just really loved it. Then I started learning guitar, violin and piano, then I started writing my own music and it was a really nice escape for me especially during school and college."
What is your title track about?
"My title track is called Human, and it's about someone who was really special to me at the time, and looking back at is, it was an unhealthy mindset I had, but when I was writing the song I just wanted it to be with that person all of the time and I wanted them to tell me all of their secrets. I just wanted to be with them and it's about that."

What's your creative process?
"It kind of just starts off as me rambling and just spilling things onto a page, then I'll look over it later and start to pick out the parts that I really like, then putting them together. That's when I start really working on it. It can vary from taking a day to a couple weeks, to months. Human took me about 3 months."
Is there anyone you'd like to collaborate with next?
"Definitely Cavetown. If he sees this, please contact me, I want to do a song together!"

What's your favourite song to perform live?
Finally, what would you like to say to your fans?
"Just thank you so much, for loving and supporting me, accepting me regardless of all of my flaws. it's so heartwarming to know that people actually care and want to listen to my music, so thank you so much!"
"Would You Be So Kind from my previous EP, just because I think it's my most well-known song and is the song that the audience screams the loudest, so that one is really fun. Also Monster just because everyone has so much fun when I'm playing it."
